Free calls and SMS on U Mobile

U MOBILE Sdn Bhd has something new for its prepaid subscribers to enhance its Free Voice Call service launched in July 2011.

U Mobile new prepaid users can now enjoy SMSes for free in addition to the current free calls from one U Mobile to another U Mobile number.

For every RM1 top-up, subscribers are eligible for these free SMSes, valid for one day.

To get 20 free SMSes, all users need to do is send six SMSes. Free SMSes are capped at 1,000 a day or up to 50 sets of “buy six free 20” a day.

Meanwhile, during peak hours from 7pm to midnight, U Mobile prepaid subscribers will only be charged three sen per 30 seconds for calls, which is actually the lowest rate available in the market today.

For the rest of the day, they enjoy unlimited free calls to other U Mobile users.

New prepaid subscribers also get to enjoy local call rates when roaming in Singapore and the longest validity period of up to 90 days.

Broadband subscribers also get to enjoy a 42Mbps-enabled broadband service.

U Mobile CEO Dr Kaizad Heerjee said: “This new offering is an extension of our hugely-successful free calls campaign which we launched last July. Now our customers can also send out free SMSes.

“We’re delighted to be able to continuously provide exciting new, value-added experiences to our customers by making everyday essentials such as voice calls and SMSes extremely affordable via our innovative and unique prepaid plan.”
